Kamyar Kafaie presents his observations on Iranian prejudices, approaches, and weaknesses through intricate visual narratives. At first glance, his works appear cheerful, vibrant, and filled with color. Yet, on closer examination, they reveal layers of decadence and dysfunction within parts of society. In this assemblage of satirical commentary, the artist holds a mirror to the collective experience, addressing themes such as social status, identity, corruption, and conspicuous consumption.
